Plot

George Bailey has so many problems he is thinking about ending it all - and it's Christmas! George is broken and suicidal over the misplacing of an $8,000 loan and the plottings of the evil millionaire, Mr. Potter. His guardian angel, Clarence, falls to Earth, and shows him how his town, family, and friends would turn out if he had never been born. George has meant so much to so many people; will Clarence be able to convince George not to throw it all away, and instead return to the loving arms of his family?
